Actress Lindsay Lohan often makes the headlines for all the wrong reasons, having been arrested in the past and spent time in rehab. However, more recently, the star has been showing her love of fashion accessories and jewellery.
Indeed, she has been named as the face of German designer Philipp Plein. British newspaper the Sun pointed out that this sees her follow in the footsteps of Mischa Barton, whose imaged fronted the brand last year.
Meanwhile, the publication went on to note that during the Paris Fashion Week, Lohan was pictured attending the debut fashion show of rapper, singer and record producer Kanye West. Wearing a metallic-shaded dress, she sat in the front row of the audience as Kanye presented his creations.
West had picked the fabrics for his clothing from wholesaler East London Trimmings. According to the owner of the store Sarfaraz Loonat, the rapper sifted through the various options before patiently waiting to be served. According to Mr Loonat, West was “very down to earth and humble”. As well as purchasing fabric, he also bought zips.
Meanwhile, Lohan looked fascinated as the fashion show took place. The actress and model, who is also a pop singer, started her career as a child and made her motion picture debut at the age of 11 in Disney’s 1998 film The Parent Trap. Since then, she has appeared in many things, including Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded.
Earlier this year, she was placed under house arrest for stealing jewellery. She was found to have taken a necklace from a shop. However, it seems as though she has succeeded in turning her love of fashion accessories to her advantage and is now using it to boost her career.
Lohan was not the only celebrity to attend West’s show. Others included Terry Richarson, Jared Leto, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.
