Flowers are bought for many reasons. They can make an excellent gift, get well soon present or thank you gesture, for example. Also, they are often bought by consumers as a means of brightening up their homes. After all, they add a splash of colour and an inviting fragrance to the rooms they feature in.
Also, flowers are used in abundance in most weddings. Their beauty helps to add to the romance of the occasions and they feature in a range of places. As well as being used in the button holes of the groom and best man, they are held by the bride in the form of small bouquets. In addition, they generally adorn the church or room that ceremony takes place in and they appear in the reception venue too.For this reason, florists play a crucial role in nuptial celebrations. Couples rely on them to help make their dreams come true.
Recently, a number of florists took part in a wedding fair in Yorkshire. Hundreds of brides-to-be attended the event at the Cedar Court Hotel, the Bradford Telegraph and Argus reports. In total, 40 exhibitors were present at the exhibition, all vying for the attention of the women. As well as flower specialists, there were also photographers, jewellers and confectioners present. The first 50 brides received a special goodie bag and all those present were invited to enter a draw for the chance to win a honeymoon to Cyprus worth £2,000.
According to T&A events and marketing manager Amanda White, the occasion was a success. She remarked: “Everyone had a fantastic day, with hundreds of brides browsing everything they could possibly want to make their special day even more unforgettable.”The next wedding fair to be held at the Cedar Court Hotel will take place on September 4th.
